Mountain Real Estate http://jtdrealty.com/mountain-real-estate/ http://jtdrealty.com/mountain-real-estate/#respond Sun, 16 May 2010 15:55:17 +0000 http://jtdrealty.com/?p=117 The Real Estate Market in the Colorado Rocky Mountains seems to be like all others.  Patience for sellers and bargain hunting for buyers.  Most of the properties making the sold list seem to be discounting from their list price a far amount, or the appraisal is not coming in at agreed pricing.  However, most sellers that have properties that are a premium type of property (in a village, ski in ski out or walk to skiing, on the water or a lake) are sticking to their guns and waiting for the right buyer, who recognizes the value.

Watching the market is interesting and while properties are moving, and the market place is optimistic the buyer is still in the driver seat.  For the buyer the best value and the biggest room for negotiation seems to be in properties further away from the resort itself, a mile or better, and those that are not premium properties.  This is a great thing for the buyer looking to get into the resort market.  There is definitely more to choose from.
